The South Carlton Field –

This field has been in production in excess of 50 years. Production is crude oil from the Massive and Pilot Sands of the Tuscaloosa Formation at depths of 5,250-6,000 ft. Product is 14.3 API gravity, asphaltic in nature and is benchmarked against Mississippi sour production.

South Carlton Field lies in southwest Alabama along and on either side of the Alabama River approximately 40 miles north – northwest of Mobile. The field consists of 60 active producing or potentially productive oil wells and 5 salt-water disposal wells. Mineral lease position encompasses 2,840 acres in Township 3 North, Range 2 East.
