Waskom Field Development –
Rudd Nos.1-15; Stringfellow No.1; Fullilove No.1
Harrison County, Texas/Caddo Parish, Louisiana
Wilcox began its development of the Fredericksburg Lime formation in 1993 with the horizontally drilled W.L. Rudd No.1.
The Fredericksburg Lime is a shallow depth, fractured, chalky limestone that responds to acid and/or fracture stimulation and produces primarily natural gas. The formation is located in the historic Waskom Field of Harrison County, Texas.
The Wilcox development begins immediately south of the town of Waskom, Texas and extends eastward into Caddo Parish, Louisiana. In the spring of 2007 Wilcox completed the 16th and 17th wells of its Fredericksburg development program. All but the initial Rudd No.1 are vertically drilled wells utilizing acid stimulation in the completion process. The Texas RR Commission limits production from this zone (approximately 2,350’) to 69 MCF’s of gas per day per well.
